Karuna Wellness Collaborative was founded in 2021 by Kelsey Walsh.
Karuṇā is a Sanskrit word that is generally translated to compassion, mercy or self-compassion. It is a significant spiritual concept in Indic faiths including Hinduism and Buddhism. One definition from Theravada Buddhism defines karuṇā as the aspiration to find a way to be truly helpful to oneself and others.
We picked this name because with compassion for ourselves and others we can truly love & accept ourselves and those around us thus contributing to our own life-long wellbeing and the betterment of the world as a whole.
About the Founder
Kelsey Walsh is a Family Nurse Practitioner, yoga & meditation instructor and wellness fanatic with 10 years of experience in the health & wellness field. She has a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Biology, a Bachelors & Masters in Nursing and many certifications in the yoga and meditation space.
Her background allows her to bring a holistic approach to her clients, focusing on optimizing their wellbeing and preventing disease. She is fueled by her passion to see people lead joyful & vibrant lives. She considers herself always a student, eager to learn and to better optimize her own life and serve others. Her training provides her a unique look into the mental, physical, emotional and energetic states that lead to optimal outcomes.
She comes from Boston, MA and has spent much time in Southern California. Her favorite spots are any that are near the ocean, especially Cape Cod.
